Fischer Boulangerie (NP)

minimum amount using cards

Emmanuelle MELIS | 22 Sep 2014
I have been denied the use of my Visa cards to pay an amount below 5€ at Fischer Boulangerie.
I contacted the Visa customer service and they told me that "Visa has certain regulations that all merchants accepting Visa cards must follow. One of those rules is that Visa merchants are not permitted to establish minimum transaction amounts."
They advised me to contact my financial institution and report those events.
If you have experienced the same problem, be aware that shouldn't happen and that you can report the retailer to your financial institution.
